Cosplay Thought

What Makes Cosplay Different from the Other Hobbies?

I'll just want to remind you before reading this article is that, I'm not a Cosplayer but rather a Cosplay fan. I just put myself on their situation. I admire Cosplayers that's why I wrote this. Cosplaying is one of my biggest dream. But there are situations that are standing on my way. But I don't lose hope that someday, it will become true.

This blog is ONLY MY VISION. My own view about Cosplaying. If you have any reactions or you want to improve for, kindly commented below.

1. Time Management
1

Time is very important and rare. Such things as thinking what is the suitable materials to be used, searching for and buying materials is not a crack thing to do. You need to spare time to finish a one whole costume. Sleepless nights are your worst enemy. Sometimes they make on a rush but in the end, its result is the same on a costume you made for a long time. Cosplayers are hardworking, brainy and tactical. And that's why I admire them.

2. Art of Make-up
2

Portraying a character is not just about wearing a costume to be look like them but also  the art of applying make-up. It's like you are drawing on your face or on your whole body. Applying make-up is really time consumable. Cosplayers tend to very look alike on the characters they are portraying because of an artistic touch of make-up.

3. Passion

If you try cosplaying once, common scenario is you're gonna hook-up. The next thing is, you will want to cosplay again and again. It's your intense desire to cosplay.

4. Expression of One's Ownselves

Cosplaying is one way of expressing yourselves. Showing that you are an Otaku (Anime Lover). They commonly cosplay their favorite characters from an Anime, Manga, Game and even Western cartoons. It changes their personality and appearance from their natural self.

5. Costly

It's true that Cosplaying is costly. But they know it from the start before entering into it. It is not a joke to cosplay. You have to gain a financial assistance. And that's why many people do argue on this because they say your just wasting your money but it's not true. We feel happy and honored  when cosplaying.

6. Fame and be Popular
3

If you're cosplaying, many people thinks that you are rich because like what I said a while ago, it is costly. Many personalities are becoming well-known because of Cosplaying. Alodia Gosiengfiao, Cosplay Goddess of the Philippines, is one of an example.

7. Fasten up your Creativity

From head to toe really need to be look alike a character you've desired to become an approved Cosplayer. Even you are on a tight budget, you can be resourceful. You can make out of used things or recycled ones. Costumes that have been used in previous public events can be improved by a cosplayer. Most costumes are handmade that's why detailed designs need a large amount of time. Creative thinking is one way of showcasing yourselves and it is also a talent-gifted or improvement.

8. Award
4

These what makes Cosplay raised from the other hobbies. Some Cosplayers made it as  part of their lives (official work). You are Cosplaying not just because you are inspired from a character, but also to win on a competition. This is the main reason why many people venture on these. Somewhat to gain success and be proud of!
