Crossplay is a word combining CROSSDRESS and COSPLAY in which a person dress up alternate with his/her gender. It's kinda humorous to see but a more social levity. It's different from gender-bender and those people who do it, doesn't automatically indicate as a transgender or bisexual. This form of cosplay is somewhat by passion of a person or he/she do like its character he/she is portraying.

Let's focus on male-to-female crossplay. For many years, Anime/Cosplay Conventions, even just a photoshoot, have seen an increase who they put a lot of preparation and effort turning into a female persona. they manage to reborn an image of feminity that can create an unsuspecting real gender to their audience

For some males, it's typically not a lightweight task but it takes them to their fulfillment and happiness. There's a saying goes that "If you love what you do, you will turn to love yourself." Most crossplayers choose either to face an ironic humor from people (dislike) or a true masquerade (like)
